Avista Pharma Solutions is a contract testing, development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) encompassing over 200,000 square feet of laboratory and manufacturing space across three locations (Agawam, MA – Durham, NC – Longmont, CO), providing pharmaceutical, animal health and medical device clients with a broad suite of scientifically-differentiated services.

 

DUTIES:

  • Be aligned with-in or across site / corporate functions and deliver HR solutions to meet managers' and employees' needs.
  • Understand the business environment, strategy and people implications.
  • Provide people management coaching to managers and contribute to the development of managers' skills.
  • Execution of all employee engagement activities within areas of responsibility.
  • Act as steward for attracting, developing and retaining diverse talent in the organization.
  • Champion performance and talent management processes.
  • Partner with management to meet and exceed business objectives.
  • Drive implementation of function-wide HR programs with-in assigned locations.
  • Facilitate change management with-in assigned location.
  • Help local managers meet and exceed people objectives for their area or function.
  • Act as a single point of contact for employees and managers in assigned location
  • Support Corporate HR with Recruiting
  • Seek input from managers who oversee the position to make sure the requirements accurately reflect what they expect from the job.
  • Assist with candidate management, offer letter generation and pre-employment processes, as needed
  • Establish relationships with local community colleges and universities
  • Attend job fairs to promote the company
  • Creatively source applicants through all available means, including social media, traditional media, job fairs, community services and agencies, career websites, partnering with educational institutions, networking, etc.
  • Work closely with Management team and Corporate HR regarding the handling of employee relations
  • Work closely with Corporate HR on Communication of Employee Benefits
  • Partner with Management team and Corporate HR to communicate HR policies and procedures
  • Conduct 90- day check-ins and exit interviews for assigned location
  • Assist with documenting completed training, researching training and development content
  • Collaborate with Corporate HR to realize process improvement initiatives, special projects, etc.
  • Assist with HR solutions by collecting/analyzing information, make recommendations
  • Provide assistance drafting and deploying employee communications
  • Assist with reviewing and writing job descriptions.
  • Ensures a professional work environment where all company policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Maintains compliance with all state and federals laws.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and perform other general HR duties as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with 5+ years related experience. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources concentration is a plus
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including recruitment and employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Strong background in Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus
  • Previous experience with ATS/Onboarding software a plus
  • Ability to communicate successfully across business units
  • Ability to build rapport with all employees
  • Experience drafting and revising job descriptions is a plus
